Aims & scope

The Journal of Emergency Medicine (Uiem) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research, case reports, and reviews in the fields of emergency medicine, disaster medicine, sports emergency medicine, medical toxicology, point-of-care ultrasonography, and critical care medicine. The journal aims to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of acute medical conditions and injuries, and to promote high-quality care in emergency and critical care settings.

Uiem is a resource for emergency medicine professionals, including emergency physicians, critical care specialists, toxicologists, and other healthcare providers who care for acutely ill or injured patients. The journal provides a platform for researchers and clinicians to share their insights and experiences, and to disseminate evidence-based knowledge and best practices in emergency and critical care medicine.

Uiem welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical trials in the areas of emergency medicine and critical care. The journal also publishes case reports that provide important insights into the diagnosis, management, and outcomes of unusual or challenging cases in emergency and critical care settings. Uiem encourages submissions that address important clinical questions and have the potential to improve patient care and outcomes.
